The Teaspoon Gala is complete for 2019, we had a very big team again at this competition 33 swimmers, this pure sprint meet is a nice change from the normal gala as it’s just 50’s and had finals! Yet again our swimmers did fantastically well, producing 24 finalists throughout the day. One of our newer members Holly making the final at 50 back and also having 3 girls in the 11’s 50 Breast final, Mabel, Jess and Imogen. We had 2 swimmers that made finals in all their events Joe and Oli and also a rush finalists that we had to hunt down and get back in her costume as she’d been upgraded to the final at the 11th hour, she improved on that in the final finishing 7th, well done Jess that was a fast costume change!
I’d also like to thanks our younger team members Rosa, Millie and Isabelle who made a final in the 50 Breast, you were great, I hope that we’ll see you again soon.
Again the dolphins did a great job of supporting and getting behind the team and their teammates, making some of the new swimmers feel welcome within the club. Hopefully, we can get the new times fed into the system soon, but to help I’ve attached a pdf of the swimmers and the times that they achieved, including highlighted finalists.
Take what you’ve learnt and practised and get ready for the DASA Long Course competition and the also the DASA Champs in Feb where you will hopefully get to make more finals!
You only have about another 5 days to get your entries in for the DASA Long Course Champs as this closes for entries on the 28th September. We also have our younger swimmers who will be competing in the DASA Junior Grand Prix on 6 Oct 2019, good luck for that.
