What a great night to close the National Swimming League for Dolphins in 2018. It was a long way to go but Dolphins swimmers really stepped up to finish 2nd in the final gala.

We are a competitive swimming club and the National League is the pinnacle of our year and the event that the coaches work towards in their coaching plans. It was brilliant to see swimmers working as a team in what is essentially an individual sport and a bit like the Ryder cup in golf helps swimmers perform at a level above themselves.

The National League is the equivalent of the Premier League for amateur swimmers and although we are in the third level the quality and depth of our swimmers enables us to compete. The club is proud of our swimmers who take part and represent the club in this event and other team events throughout the year and there is no doubt those swimmers fortunate enough to represent the club really enjoy the experience, just ask them.

Our next team event is the Derwent league and then the 12 year and under junior version of the National League, the Diddy league which is often a swimmers first introduction to team swimming.

Well done swimmers and a big thank you from the committee.
